Deep Rooted Arabian Heritage

The Emirates Falconers’ Club recorded its most significant achievement when the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) registered falconry as a living human heritage in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This was thanks to the joint efforts of 11 Arab and foreign countries. Many countries are still joining this largest file in the history of UNESCO, so that falconry can receive universal recognition.

The overarching strategy of the Emirates Falconers’ Club is dedicated to promoting falconry on a large and sustainable scale. This includes efforts to preserve falcons and preys, promote captive breeding, and safeguard their natural habitats in addition to organising relevant activities and events, while developing international cooperation with institutions dedicated to falconry preservation. These endeavors aim to uphold falconry as a cherished Arab, human, and historical heritage, while also expanding its global reach.
